The Association of Parents of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities of Thailand, in collaboration with Wellness We care, hosted the 4th edition of the hands–on training workshop titled “Pathway to Health and Business Opportunities in Healthy Food” from July 4–6, 2025, at Wellness We care Center, a social enterprise under Mega We care.
Mr. Suchart Owattawannakul, President of the Association, officiated the opening ceremony with a strong message:
“Health and livelihood must go hand in hand“, emphasizing the importance of empowering people with disabilities to become self–reliant and live with dignity as active members of society.
Workshop Highlights
Healthy Cooking Workshop
Led by Ms. Boontharik Krupimai (Baitoey), a professional nutritionist, participants actively engaged in preparing Thai healthy dishes such as Nam Prik Ong (Northern-style chili dip), Clear Soup Noodles, Spicy Vegetable Soup (Kaeng Liang), and Green Curry. The session included guidance on selecting clean, safe ingredients for family health and income generation.
Inspiring Knowledge Sharing Sessions
- Mr. Suwatchai Champamoon, an expert in New Theory Agriculture, shared his insights on sustainable income generation through the value–added processing of agricultural products based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
- Ms. Piromon Chuprapawan, Managing Director of Forcare Co., Ltd., shared over 20 years of experience in developing health food businesses and strategies to enhance product value in the wellness market.
Participants left the program with practical knowledge and skills to both improve their family’s well–being and explore business opportunities in the growing health food sector.
