“Reverse Disease by Yourself” Camp Offers New Alternative for Non-Communicable Disease Patients, Reducing Thailand’s Public Health Burden and Creating Better Community Health
From August 14-17, 2025, Wellness We Care Social Health Center, a company under Mega We Care, organized the “Reverse Disease by Yourself” (RDBY) health camp. This project has been running continuously for over 10 years to help patients with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) effectively manage their conditions and play a crucial role in reducing Thailand’s NCD burden.
Supporting Society and Nation by Reducing NCD Burden
This camp represents a new approach to healthcare that helps society, and the nation reduce non-communicable disease problems, which constitute Thailand’s primary public health challenge. The initiative focuses on assisting Thais to achieve better health through learning proper self-care methods, rather than relying solely on medical treatment systems.
Internationally Recognized Lifestyle Medicine Principles
Throughout the 4-day, 3-night program, camp participants learn self-care approaches using Lifestyle Medicine principles that are internationally recognized. The comprehensive program covers holistic healthcare across 6 dimensions through both theoretical and practical experiences, including:
- Whole Food, Plant-Based, Low-Fat nutrition
- Appropriate individual exercise programs
- Systematic stress management techniques
- Quality sleep practices
- Building positive social relationships
- Avoiding tobacco and substance use
Empowering NCD Patients for Effective Disease Management
This camp does not replace medical treatment but rather enhances the effectiveness of treatment. It helps NCD patients manage their diseases more effectively through appropriate lifestyle changes, creating sustainable long-term results.
Participant Feedback
Camp participants unanimously agreed that participating in this program not only helped them better understand their diseases but also completely transformed their perspective on healthcare. They discovered new alternatives for controlling NCDs and learned to participate in their health recovery actively.
Social Mission for Thai Health
Wellness We Care Social Health Center, a Mega We Care company, operates under the Social Enterprise concept with a key mission to provide knowledge and inspire people to transform themselves.
