The Association for Parents of Persons with Intellectual Disability (APID) elevates healthcare to new dimensions through its fourth “Empowering Life through Physical Fitness and Mental Wellness” camp, held from January 17-19, 2025, at Wellness We care Center—the course emphasizes creating a holistic balance between physical and mental well-being under the concept “Good health is the foundation of a quality life,” this initiative has crafted activities encompassing all dimensions of Wellness, from physical care to mental health enhancement, particularly designed for individuals with chronic conditions. The course features engaging highlights such as:
– Health-focused cooking competitions with bright ingredient selection tips
– Tai Chi and meditation yoga for body-mind balance
– Balance training exercises
– Special herbal tea brewing workshops for quality sleep
Participants received comprehensive physical fitness assessments and gained valuable insights from experts in stress management and chronic disease prevention. The program concluded with musical activities that fostered enjoyment and friendship among participants. This initiative focused on reducing health risk factors and supporting participants in lifestyle modifications for enhanced quality of life.
