On May 31, 2025, a delegation of faculty members and students from the Vela Program at Chulalongkorn University visited the Wellness We care Center in Muak Lek, Saraburi. As a social health center under Mega We care, the Center is dedicated to disseminating knowledge and building practical skills in lifestyle modification to promote sustainable health and well-being.
Wellness We care Center serves as an Experience Center for Lifestyle Modification, driven by the principles of Lifestyle Medicine, which focuses on six key pillars:
- Healthy eating
- Physical activity
- Stress management
- Quality sleep
- Social connections
- Avoidance of harmful substances and risky behaviors
These core principles are delivered through immersive, practice-based programs tailored for medical and public health professionals as well as the public, empowering individuals not only to understand but to apply lifestyle changes that result in lasting, tangible health improvements.
During the visit, the group attended a special lecture on “Spiritual Wellness” delivered by Dr. Sant Chaiyodsilp, a lifestyle medicine physician and Director of Wellness We care Center. The session emphasized the deep interconnection between the mind, spirit, and life purpose, encouraging inner awareness and emotional resilience as part of holistic well-being.
This visit highlights the strong collaboration between the academic sector and integrative public health efforts; while reaffirming the role of the Wellness We care Center as a trusted hub for health behavior change education. The Center is grounded in evidence-based modern medicine and adopts a systems-oriented view of health. Its reputation has earned the continued trust of leading academic institutions across Thailand, many of which have sent faculty and students to engage in hands-on learning with each new cohort.
